As a long established insurance broker, we're always interested in legislation that will help improve safety for road users. Although it's unlikely to reduce insurance premiums in the short term it may well help to keep car insurance, van insurance and motorcycle insurance premiums at a reasonable level for the next few years.

On the 11th January 2006 the Bill received its third reading in the House of Lords where attempts were made to amend the provisions for penalty points. It is unclear how long we shall be waiting for the Bill to be enacted although it will now proceed to the House of Commons.
