The Mini has been hailed by motor traders as the car which retains most value over time.
The car has recently been awarded Parkers' 'Slowest Depreciating Car' award and is highly desirable both for motor traders and private buyers in the second hand market.
The car has sold over 1.1 million cars sold worldwide since launch in 2001 and has the best residual values in the car market
The point was underlined as the marque unveils the new 220bhp Mini John Cooper Works.
The new model goes on sale on 22 July and is Mini's first unlimited production John Cooper Works model.
Buyers are expected to be attracted by the power output of 211bhp, 280 Nm of torque (with Overboost), 0-62 mph in 6.5 seconds as well as the dynamic aerodynamic body kit.
Buyers believing such stats could be tempting for thieves will also be happy to hear the Mini recently won the British Insurance Car Security Awards in the City/Supermini category.
